Cool Afro Nuts

I love getting mail from the Sweat It Out-camp. Mostly cause of their stunning artwork. U know, I hate Chucks (don’t wear them on a regular basis, they fuck ur feet up, one of my boyfriends got huge lumps on his feet) but I love this artwork, even loved the one of Pablo Calamari’s – ‘I Bought My Wife on the Blackmarket’ ‏with the fugly sailorshoes (which I never wrote about cuz I listened to it once then binned it cause the track was as just as horrible as the title, sorry).

Speaking of the good old hate vs. love for that matter, I HATED Yoland Be Cool’s remix of KillaQueenz ‘Bitches’ so I never looked deeper into the super secret project from Sweat It Out more. But as u might know, I like to be proven wrong, to rewrite my hates into loves.

‘Afro Nuts’ (actually I wrote afro balls at first, HAHA, Freud where u at?!) samples a track I’ve danced my ass off to some years ago; Plan B ft. Trick Daddy & Trina’s ‘Frikitona’ and mashes it up into one great conga house joint with an unlikely, but very on, twist, call it afro-mayhem or their ode to what they like to call party tech.

Anyhow, it’s inspired by the midgets, hula hoops, african rhythms, carnivale and free love. In other words = can’t fail. I love it. And if u don’t like the original, perhaps the remix from Edu K, the man that has excelled in more genres than a skitzophrenic has had personalities, triple somersaults out of fidget and lands perfectly in tribal tech land tickles ur fancy.
